What exactly is a travel advisor?

Think of me as your personal travel concierge. I help you dream up, plan, and book your trip, from choosing the destination to finding the right stays, mapping the days, and handling the logistics, so you get a seamless, memory-filled trip without the hours of research.

I’m trained and certified through Fora, and I’m plugged into a global community of advisors and partners I lean on to make each trip special.

What’s it like to work with you?

Personal, from start to finish. Everything is built around your family and what you actually want out of the trip. From our first call to check-ins along the way to a welcome-home follow-up, you’ll feel looked after the whole time.

You’ll also get the inside scoop on destinations, VIP perks at hotels when they’re available, and a real person to call if anything comes up while you’re on the road.

How do we get started?

It starts with my quick trip questionnaire, it takes about 3 minutes. I’ll review it and get back to you within 48 hours to set up a complimentary call, where we’ll dig into your dates, travelers, and the kind of trip you’re dreaming of. From there, I’ll map out next steps.

What is Fora?

Fora is the host agency I’m trained and certified with. Booking through a Fora advisor means you also tap into partnerships with thousands of hotels and travel brands worldwide, think Four Seasons, Rosewood, and beyond, plus a whole community of advisors sharing the best of what they know.

What kinds of perks can you get me?

Through my partner network, I can add VIP perks at thousands of hotels. Depending on the property, that can include:

  • Daily complimentary breakfast
  • A resort or spa credit
  • A welcome amenity
  • Room upgrades (when available)
  • Early check-in / late check-out (when available)

Little touches that make a trip feel elevated.

How is your planning free?

Hotels and suppliers pay advisors a commission when we send them business, it happens behind the scenes and doesn’t cost you anything extra. Booking sites earn that same commission; the difference is that with me, you get a real person who cares about your trip (and those VIP perks).

Wouldn’t it be easier to book through Expedia, Booking.com, and other online travel agents?

Sure, you have all the information at your fingertips and can easily book direct. But let me share a little secret with you. Hotels prioritize bookings from travel consultants and offer better rooms because of it.

Online travel agents like the ones above charge hotels a high fee to be on their platforms, which means your booking ends up at the bottom of the priority list. When you book with me, I go through a process with the property to VIP you, so you’re treated accordingly.

I already booked my hotel, can you still get me perks?

Sometimes! With certain partners I can take over an existing reservation and add my perks to it. Reach out with your booking details and I’ll see what I can do.

What kinds of trips do you plan?

All kinds, family adventures, couples getaways, honeymoons, milestone celebrations, beach escapes, city breaks, and bucket-list journeys. Big or small, near or far, I’m happy to help.

Where do you plan trips to?

Just about anywhere. I’ve traveled to 40+ countries myself, and even for places I haven’t been, I have destination experts and on-the-ground partners to lean on. I specialize in luxury and family travel, North America, and Europe.

Will you book my flights?

I can, for a small fee, but I usually recommend booking flights yourself, directly with the airline. It lets you use your own miles and points, and it makes handling any last-minute changes easier, since airlines resolve those fastest directly.

How far in advance should I reach out?

As soon as the idea strikes! The more lead time I have, the better the availability for the best stays, tours, and experiences, and the more I can tailor everything to you. Even if your dates are flexible, reach out and we’ll figure it out together.

Can I be involved in the planning?

As much as you’d like! The more you share about your must-dos and preferences, the better the trip. And if you’d rather hand me the keys and be surprised, I love that too.

Do you have a minimum trip length?

Nope. A one-night stay or a month-long adventure, I’m glad to help with both. My focus is always on an elevated, thoughtfully planned experience, whatever the length.

Do you charge planning fees?

My hotel and cruise bookings are complimentary, I’m paid by the suppliers, not by you. For elaborate, fully-custom itineraries with lots of moving parts, there may be a planning fee, and I’ll always walk you through it upfront before any work begins.

What about changes, cancellations, and travel insurance?

Life happens. Changes and cancellations follow the policy of whichever provider the booking was made through, so I always recommend travel insurance for peace of mind. We’ll talk through your options on our call.
